I realize that this may seem a little off the beaten track for my usual posts, and you are right this is not about the setting in a book.

But one thing that this situation is preparing people for is the isolation that space travel will require for us to get beyond our Moon. And if the Mayflower and other ships show us anything, there will be kids on those spaceships.
